Bareskrim Check 41 Witnesses And Experts Investigating Cases Of Account Failure
The Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police continues to investigate cases of acute kidney failure caused by sirop medicinal raw materials containing eltylene glycol (EG) and dietilen glycol (DEG). So far, 41 witnesses and experts have been examined.
"The examination of 41 people consists of 31 witnesses and 10 expert witnesses," said Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan, to reporters, Wednesday, November 16.
Currently, investigators are still investigating other parties who supply propylene glycol (PG) raw materials to PT Afi Farma.
The reason is, from the temporary investigation of PT Afi Farma received PG supplies that were polluted by glycol ethilen (EG) and dietilen glycol (DEG) from several companies.
"Because PT AF is suspected of not only obtaining raw materials from one company, but is suspected to have come from several companies. This is what investigators are now investigating," he said.
On the other hand, in the case of acute kidney failure, continued Ramadhan, his party will immediately determine the suspect. Because investigators will soon conduct a case title.
"Meanwhile, the determination of the suspect in this case will be carried out through a case process that will be carried out as soon as possible," said Ramadhan.
Meanwhile, Bareskrim Polri said there were five pharmaceutical and food companies that received the raw material for sirop drugs containing glycol (EG) and dietilen glycol (DEG). All companies are in the Java region.
"We are developing five companies that are suspected of receiving the distribution of glycol propylene which contains eltylene glycol and dietilen glycol," said Director of Certain Crimes Brigadier General Pipit Rismanto.
The five companies are outside PT Afi Farma Pharmaceutical Industry, PT Universal Pharmaceutical Industries, and PT Yarindo Farmatama.
