Wales National Team Hope Gareth Bale Retires After The 2022 World Cup Because It Is Still Needed For Euro 2024

JAKARTA - Gareth Bale is expected not to choose to retire from international football after the 2022 World Cup. The reason is, the Los Angeles FC player plans to be brought back for Euro 2024.

This was stated by the coach of the Wales national team, Robert Page. He believes the former Real Madrid player will continue his career with The Dragons, the nickname Wales.

"He will continue (looking with the Wales national team). I hope he is there (Euro 2024)," Page was quoted as saying by The Sun on Monday, November 14.

Page also said Bale felt at home to the team. The former Real Madrid was called Page so much that he liked his position as part of the national team.

"I'll tell you why (Bale has to stay in the team), regardless of what happens in his career, he's always there for Wales. Whether he plays or not at club level, he just likes to play for Wales," explained the coach.

The coach also said Bale was a player who had high spirits in the team. He also has an interesting story when he wants to play in a match.

"'Play me. I want minutes to play. I can influence the game.' He just likes to play for Wales, especially at Cardiff," Page told Bale when he came off the bench asking for minutes to play.

After leaving Real Madrid and moving to the United States last summer, Bale said his move to LAFC could help him reach Euro 2024.

Bale began preparations for the 2022 World Cup in the capital Wish last week before joining his teammates at the Vale of Glamorgan headquarters yesterday. Before flying to Doha on Tuesday, Bale met with legends, Cliff Jones and Terry Medwin.

Bale told Jones and Medwin had done hard training independently so that their performance was maximum. He did that at the time lag he had before joining the team to make it easier for him to adapt.

"I've been doing extra training because I had a free week. I wanted to get back early so I could adjust and do some training. If you go a week without training, you start feeling it when you join others," he said.

Bale later said that training under warm LA weather was also said to make it easier for him to adapt to the hot Qatar weather.

"At least I've been practicing in the warm weather in LA so I'll get used to it in Qatar. It should be good. I feel good. I just want to get out of the group. That's all I care about. We have a good chance to qualify. We will give everything," concluded Bale.
