Flying From Cambodia By Air Force One, US President Joe Biden Arrived Bali To Attend The G20 Summit
JAKARTA - United States President Joe Biden arrived in Bali, Sunday night at around 22.10 WITA, using an Air Force One plane, to attend the Bali G20 Summit.
Based on a live broadcast monitored on the verified G20 Indonesia Instagram account @g20org, Biden can be seen descending the plane's stairs alone.
Biden's arrival was greeted by the ranks of honor and the appearance of dozens of Balinese dancers. Biden seemed to smile at the dancers' welcome.
Biden then boarded the black limousine sedan that had been prepared.
Previously, a number of delegates from the G20 Summit had also been present in Bali including Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Executive Chairman of The World Economic Forum Klaus Schwab, Director General International Labor Organization Gilbert Houngbo, and Chairman of Islamic Development Bank Muhammad Al Jaser.
President Joko Widodo also arrived in Bali, Sunday night after a visit to the ASEAN Summit in Cambodia. In his press statement, Jokowi said he received a report that 17 heads of state confirmed that they would attend the G20 Indonesia Summit in Bali.
"Preparation for the G20 Summit, I have received reports that all of them are ready, 17 heads of state are present. This is encouraging in a very difficult time right now, especially since President Joe Biden and President Xi Jinping will also attend," said President Jokowi, as reported by Antara.
President Jokowi stressed that Indonesia will fight for world peace and be part of the solution to climate change and economic recovery.
