This Is Twitter's Effort To Reduce Hazardous Content On Its Platform

JAKARTA - Twitter's Head of Security and Integrity, Milik Roth recently shared an update of hate speech on Twitter. According to him, overall malicious content and hate speech have decreased by about 95% compared to before the acquisition by Elon Musk.

"The update on our efforts to combat hate behavior: We have not only reduced the recent spike in malicious behavior, but have also reduced views on this content in Search by 95% compared to the previous basic level. We are continuing our work to make Twitter safer every day," Roth tweeted in the early hours of the morning.

The report was then greeted by a statement from another Twitter user. A user with the account name @evelyndouek asked "How (shows about reducing harmful content)?" he asked.

Not long after, Roth immediately replied to a question from @evelyndouek. He revealed that Twitter had done two things in reducing the number of hate speech to make Twitter safer.

First, he said, Twitter had taken action by suspending thousands of trolling accounts or abuse at the core of the spike. "2. filter Tweets that we detect as hatred and harassment," he explained.

According to Roth, the measures taken take away a lot of satisfaction from the trolling account on Twitter. Because according to her, the ban will only make them frustrated and require work (and resources) to try to avoid it.

On the other hand, Elon Musk as Twitter's new leader is still changing his policies. Recently, the big Tesla boss declared "kill" a new official label for his Twitter account, on the same day it began rolling out the Official account sign.

Musk also spoke calmly about his vision for Twitter, touting a fee of $8 (Rp125 thousand) per month for premium subscriptions as a bot drug and reflecting on the possibility of one day offering a money market account.
