Make Sure There Are No Pertalite With RON Below 90, The Lemigas Expenditures Testing To Several Gas Stations
JAKARTA - The test results of the Lemigas Oil and Gas Testing Center (BBPMGB) of the Directorate General of Oil and Gas at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources showed that the number of Pertalite gasoline octane or RON, which was taken at PT Pertamina (Persero) gas stations, Taman Mini, Jakarta, reached 90.7.
Head of Lemigas Ariana Soemanto said that the initial sample testing of RON 90 gasoline included 19 test parameters according to the Decree of the Director General of Oil and Gas Number No. 0486.K/10/DJM.S/2017 concerning Standards and Quality (Specification) for BBM type RON 90, which is marketed in the country.
"One of the test parameters is the octane number (RON), where the test results are not RON Pertalite which is below 90, everything is above RON 90, and there is also RON up to 90.7. This test will continue to be carried out more widely to various other gas stations, so it is even more massive," he said in his statement quoted by Antara, Sunday, November 6.
Lemigas testing, which was taken in October 2022, also answered the news on Twitter social media, which stated that the number of Pertalite octane was lower than Revvo, Vivo's output.
Meanwhile, Energy Watch Executive Director Mamit Setiawan revealed that the results of the test of gasoline samples at gas stations can vary and are understandable as long as they are still in accordance with standards and quality.
"The most important thing is that the results of the Pertalite test are in accordance with the standards and quality as decided by the Director General of Oil and Gas, which is at least RON 90. The results of the Pertalite test show, there is also an octan number of 90.7, which was taken directly at several gas stations in October 2022," he said.
Previously, on Twitter, it was stated that the results of testing Pertalite and Revvo fuel on several test parameters were mentioned by RON Pertalite 90.3 and Revvo 90.7.
"When compared to Revvo 89, whose octane value is 90.7, it is tested on one fuel sample, as well as Pertalite, only one sample was taken," he added.
Mamit also explained that there was nothing wrong with this, because the value of Pertalite's octane of RON 90.3 was already higher than the standard and quality of the Director General of Oil and Gas at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, namely at least RON 90.
"If you look at the circulating Twitter social media, the results of the Pertalite flow are higher than Revvo. In my opinion, as long as all test parameters are still in accordance with the standards and quality of the decision of the Director General of Oil and Gas, it is legal," he said.
In addition, according to him, when compared to Revvo 89, which costs Rp. 12,600 per liter, the price of Pertalite, which is Rp. 10,000 per liter, is still cheaper.
