Playing 10 People, Manchester City Winning Dramatically 2-1 Over Fulham
JAKARTA - Manchester City won a dramatic 2-1 victory over Fulham in the 5th week of the English Premier League at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday night WIB.
City played with 10 players in this game after Joao Cancelo had a red card in the first half. Julian Alvarez opened the scoring for The Cityzen before Fulham equalized with Fulham's penalty.
City managed to score a victory goal dramatically through Erling Haaland's penalty goal in the 95th minute.
Launching Antara, Sunday, this victory brought Pep Guardiola's squad to the top of the standings with 32 points, one point ahead of Arsenal. Meanwhile Fulham stuck in eighth with 19 points.
Manchester City started by taking control of the game. Kevin de Bruyne fired home in the 8th minute, but Bernd Leno was still able to secure.
Manchester blue successfully took the lead in the 17th minute. Ilkay Guendogan offered a through ball that was successfully completed by Julian Alvarez calmly. The score becomes 1-0.
Seven minutes later, City again doubled their lead to 2-0. However, the referee annulled it because it smelled offside.
Fulham was awarded a penalty after Joao Cancelo was shown a direct red card for violating Harry Wilson. Andreas Pereira stepped up as the executor and successfully beat Ederson. The position is drawn 1-1.
City responded to Fulham's goal with a chance in the 36th minute. Alvarez escaped right in the 36th minute and received a pass from De Bruyne. He tried to shoot from a tight angle, but was blocked by Team Ream.
