"There was an additional KUR distribution in September 2022 of IDR 370 billion from the total distribution the previous month which had reached IDR 2.6 trillion," said Head of the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Treasury of NTT Province, Ministry of Finance Catur Ariyanto Widodo, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, November 2.
He conveyed that this was related to the progress of KUR distribution in NTT which was recorded until September 2022.
Catur explained that the KUR value with a total of IDR 2.97 trillion was distributed to 74,921 debtors. The increase in the realization of KUR distribution, he continued, made NTT occupy 21 warnings in the number of KUR distributions nationally and ranked 15th for the total number of debtors.
The largest amount of distribution is in the Micro KUR scheme with the largest distribution in NTT from Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI).
Catur said that in sectors, large and retail trades have the largest distribution of distribution reaching 55 percent or equivalent to IDR 1.6 trillion of the total distribution of KUR.
Catur encourages banks in NTT to increase KUR distribution for potential productive sectors such as agriculture, livestock, marine and fisheries.
He gave an example, such as KUR for the fisheries sector in 2022 which was recorded to have only reached Rp84.6 billion.
According to him, when the productive sector is strengthened, it will faster encourage regional economic improvements in NTT and can survive the economic downturn due to the COVID-19 pandemic and other factors.
Catur added that KUR distribution uses sources of funds from banks, but the government also provides interest subsidies so that it can ease the community or debtors in terms of repayment of loans.
