Soon WhatsApp Users Will Be Able To Send Messages To Themselves

JAKARTA - WhatsApp continues to look for ways to seize rival markets such as Telegram. The instant messaging app is reportedly working on a new feature where users can send messages to themselves.

According to a WABetaInfo report, WhatsApp is testing its own messaging feature, aka Message Yourself, which, as the name suggests users to send messages to themselves more easily.

sending messages to yourself can be useful if the user wants to transfer files between devices or wants to save important messages to send later.

Because WhatsApp comes with multi-device support, users can send files and documents between devices easily using the Message Yourself feature.

This new feature can be seen on WhatsApp v2.22.24.2 beta released from the Android app. Interestingly, WABetaInfo also knows that there are several selected users who have gained access to try out the Message Yourself feature.

In a shared screenshot, WhatsApp has added the 'I (you)' chat option to send a message to myself. To get started, users can tap the contact select button in the lower right corner, it will give them the option to send messages to new chats, new groups, or new communities.

Below, users will find their contact list, with the "Me (You)" option just above their WhatsApp contacts.

The presence of the Message Yourself feature will help some people who like to do that to remind themselves of things or to store important data.

This feature is also first owned by Telegram and Slack, which presents the option to save messages and send messages to the user itself.

Actually, users can send their own messages on WhatsApp using the wa.me link or by creating a group where they are the only members.

However, it's not a great way to send a message to yourself, and that brand-new feature can be an option. It's not clear when WhatsApp will launch the feature. This was quoted from Sam Mobile, Wednesday, November 2.
