Ready Protect Infrastructure And Energy Facilities, President Zelensky: We Work For Victory Without Holidays
JAKARTA - President Volodymyr Zelensky said his side would continue to fight for Ukraine's victory, even without holidays, during meetings with military officials, discussing the situation on the battlefield to important infrastructure protection on Sunday.
"We are working for a win without a holiday. I am holding another meeting with the Supreme Command Staff. The main problem is, we discuss the operational situation ahead," President Zelensky wrote on Telegram, quoted by Ukrinform, October 31.
"We have heard information about possible enemy actions in the near future. We are focusing in detail on the issue of providing ammunition for soldiers and repairing military equipment," the president wrote.
In addition, according to him, steps to protect infrastructure and energy facilities were analyzed in detail at the meeting.
"We will survive. We will prove to the whole world that we are unbeaten," President Zelensky assured.
According to the Ukrainian Presidential Office, the meeting was attended by the Head of the Presidential Office, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Minister of Defense, Commander of the Armed Forces, Head of the Main Intelligence Directorate, Head of the Ukrainian Foreign Intelligence Agency Oleksandr Lytvynenko, Commander of the AFU Army, Commander of the Air Force to Minister of Foreign Affairs.
As previously reported, President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Sunday the Ukrainian military had repulsed a fierce attack by Russian troops in the eastern Donetsk region.
President Zelensky said a military unit from Chop in western Ukraine had carried out the action, but did not say where the clashes took place.
"Today they stopped the fierce offensive action," President Zelensky said in his evening address.
