Telkomcel Makes An Online Transportation Application Operating In Timor Leste

JAKARTA - A subsidiary of the Telkom Group Indonesia, Telkomcel has released an online transportation application that is similar to Gojek and Grab services. The MyTimor platform will operate in Timor Leste.

The name MyTimor application is taken from the word “Hau Nia Timor” in the language of tetum, the local language of Timor Leste, which means 'belonging'. They carry the tagline "Create a facilitated facility" which means 'Everything becomes easier'.

According to the CEO of Telkomcel, Yogi Rizkian Bahar, MyTimor is an online motorcycle or ojek (ojol) and online taxi application to transport people and deliver the first goods / packages in Timor Leste.

"This application is an innovative product made by the nation's children from Telkomcel so that the people of Timor Leste can carry out productive activities safely and easily during the COVID-19 pandemic," said Yogi in a statement received by VOI, Monday, December 7.

At first glance, this application has the same aspects as Grab or Gojek, starting from the driver registration process to some of its services. MyTimor ensures better network stability in the ordering process and location tracking to security because the server location is in Timor Leste.

The MyTimor application itself can be used by all telecommunication operator numbers operating in Timor Leste. This application can be used and was inaugurated on December 4, 2020.

MyTimor is the first online transportation application in Timor Leste. In running this application, Telkomcel collaborates with Corrotrans, a local Timor Leste company that has a paid taxi transportation business.
