KPK Wants Jokowi-Ma'ruf Amin Prioritizes Corruption Eradication Efforts
JAKARTA - Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Firli Bahuri hopes that the President and his Deputy, Joko Widodo-Ma'ruf Amin, will prioritize efforts to eradicate corruption. This step is believed to be able to make government programs more optimal.
"The KPK's hope for the next President of the Republic of Indonesia and the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia is to continue to place the position of eradicating corruption as a top priority in ensuring the success of all government programs," Firli said in a written statement, Thursday, October 27.
Firli also hopes that all levels of government will also show the same commitment to efforts to eradicate corruption. The goal is that the development of the country can run optimally and be felt by the community.
Furthermore, the former Deputy for Enforcement of the KPK ensured that the anti-corruption commission continued to eradicate corruption. All those who are proven to be corrupt will be dealt with.
Moreover, Firli believes that Jokowi and Ma'ruf will continue to place corruption eradication in first place.
They are considered to always provide full support for the abolition of corrupt attitudes in Indonesia through the bureaucratic reform system.
"The president and vice president have also made bureaucratic reform one of the main pillars of eradicating corruption, which is in line with the points of the KPK's prevention climate based on the open system. The achievement of the percentage of bureaucratic reform in all provinces or regencies or cities will greatly help eradicate corruption," said Firli.
"KPK will continue to work properly, namely perpendicular to legal regulations and regulations without being contaminated. A conducive executive and legislative climate has played an important role in supporting corruption prevention and prosecution by the KPK," he concluded.
