Apple Releases IOS 16.1, These Are Four New Features That Improve IPhone User Experience
JAKARTA - Apple on October 25 released iOS 16.1 but not just a bug or other problem fix, but a major update and some new features that help iPhone users' activities.
Launched simultaneously with iPadOS 16 and MacOS Ventura, here are some of the most useful iOS 16.1 features for iPhone users.
Live Activities Features for Third Parties
Live Activities is an interactive notification that is always updated on key screens. Where users can receive information in real time about certain events. Such as order delivery from third-party apps, and sports scores.
This feature is not limited to Lock Screen if the user has an iPhone 14 Pro or iPhone 14 Pro Max. On that phone, Live Activities will join other warnings and notifications on Dynamic Island.
Communications Support for Dynamic Island on iPhone 14 Pro
Dynamic Island is one of the best iPhone 14 Pro marketing tricks. On iOS 16.1 it will make access to Dynamic Island with one hand. Users can activate the feature in Settings.
iOS 16.1 provides Reachability support to Dynamic Island on the iPhone Pro model. This means that users can tap Dynamic Island when using a device with only one hand.
But users must first enable Reachability from the phone's Accessibility settings.
Apple Fitness Plus
Once iOS 16.1 arrives, Apple Fitness Plus will now be available to iPhones even without Apple Watch. During exercise, users without Apple Watch will not be able to see real-time metrics, such as burned heart rate and calories.
Instead, they will see an estimated burned calories (based on the information provided in the Fitness app).
Anyone running iOS 16.1 in one of the 21 countries where Apple's fitness subscription service is offered will be able to access all Apple Fitness Pluss featuring more than 3,000 studio-style exercises and meditation.
Clean Energy Filling for iPhone
Net Energy Charging is a new battery charging option that comes to iPhone users this week. This feature only needs to be activated once.
According to Apple's iOS 16.1 records, this is a new setting that can try to reduce carbon footprint by selectively charging when lower carbon emissions are available. This feature is in the Health & Battery Filling section on the Battery Settings menu.
Features in iOS 16.1 More
Other features launched by Apple on the latest operating system also include iCloud Shared Photo Library support, Matter support on the Home app, deleted conversations may appear on conversation lists on Messages and Apple Card savings accounts.
