Don't Want To Take Risk, So The Reason Carlo Ancelotti Select Save Modric And Benzema In The RB Leipzig Countermatch
JAKARTA - Real Madrid will face RB Leipzig at the Santiago Bernabeu in the fifth match of the Champions League Group F, Wednesday, October 26, early morning WIB. A number of the home pillar players will be absent.
Karim Benzema and Luka Modric will be rested. Both are not fit to play. Benzema had problems with his left thigh, while Modric had problems with the educator.
Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti said the two injuries were not serious. However, he did not want to take the risk by playing both of them in this match.
Moreover, Real Madrid has confirmed tickets to the round of 16. Ancelotti will apply the rotation in this match.
"For Karim and Luka, this is only a minor physical disorder, but we don't want to take any risks at all," said Ancelotti.
"I'd rather lose Modric or Benzema for one game than lose for a month."
Apart from Modric and Benzema, Federico Valverde also may not have been fielded. The Uruguayan reportedly had bruises on his legs.
Meanwhile Dani Ceballos and Mariano Diaz are also struggling with injuries. Los Blancos' front line will be entrusted to Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo.
"This is the fiercest moment of the season that I think is too many games. We are unmoved even though a number of our players are absent," Ancelotti said as quoted by AFP via Antara.
