Jangkau 4,000 MSMEs, P2P Lending Accelerator Has Salurkan Loans Rp6 Trillion
JAKARTA - Fintech Group P2P Lending Acceleran managed to set a new record by channeling a total business loan of IDR 350 billion. This achievement grew by 82 percent compared to the same realization in 2021.
With that note, Acceleran has cumulatively distributed a total of IDR 6 trillion of business loans to around 4,000 MSMEs in Indonesia.
Accelerator Group & Co-Founder Ivan Tambunan said the performance of Accelerator to support the growth of the MSME business over the past five years has continued to show a positive trend. Especially accompanied by the cumulative total quality of bad credit (NPL) which is still low at 0.04 percent of total loan disbursement until mid-October 2022 or better than the realization in the first half of 2022 which was at 0.06 percent.
"I remember, in the first month of Accelerator operating in October 2017, we distributed a total business loan of IDR 2 billion. However, now in September 2022, the Accelerator Group has been on track by distributing a total business loan of IDR 350 billion per month. Of course this is a very extraordinary growth and we are still pursuing to be able to penetrate the distribution of business loans of up to IDR 3.2 trillion this year," Ivan said in his statement, Friday, October 21.
According to Ivan, the achievement in September 2022 has boosted Accelerator growth throughout the third quarter by 40 percent compared to the third quarter of 2021. This growth, said Ivan, is equivalent to the realization achieved by Acceleran for the last three months from the period July to September 2022 of Rp850 billion or managed to record a monthly average of Rp280 billion to Rp290 billion.
"We are not only focused on growing the MSME business on the island of Java but will continue to expand the distribution of business loans outside Java, which until now are the areas with the largest contribution in East Kalimantan, Riau, South Sumatra, Southeast Sulawesi, Bangka Belitung Islands, and Lampung," explained Ivan.
Ivan also hopes that in the coming year the contribution of business loans from outside Java can be more than 10 percent of the total Accelerative cumulative loan disbursement with the largest business sectors that have received funding through Accelerans, including from Engineering/Construction, Coal & Related Energy, Construction Supplys, Business & Consumer Services, and Oil & Gas.
In addition, Ivan revealed, until mid-October this year, the total distribution of Acceleran's business loans had reached around IDR 2.2 trillion or an increase of up to 65 percent compared to the same realization in 2021.
"With the protection of credit insurance that protects 99 percent of the principal loan arrears in almost all Akseleran loan campaigns, it has provided a sense of comfort to individual lenders (retail lenders) and institutional lenders to continue providing funding to business actors who need working capital in the P2P Lending Acceleran application," added Ivan.
