Six Partners In Trade Book 34 Trade Agreements, Second Day Of Trade Expo Indonesia Notes Transactions 1.45 Billion US Dollars
TANGERANG - Six Indonesian trading partner countries recorded the signing of 34 trade agreements at the 37th Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) event in Tangerang, Banten. The total transactions of the agreement are worth US $ 261 million.
The six trading partners came from India, Cameroon, Canada, Japan, Thailand, and Timor Leste.
"We appreciate Indonesian exporters and buyers (buyers) who come from six partner countries," said Director General of National Export Development of the Ministry of Trade Didi Sumedi as quoted by Antara, Friday, October 21.
Some of the products transacted by partner countries include rice milling machines, organic fertilizers, food and beverage fertilizers, coffee, palm oil and their derivatives, cloves, coal, and spices.
Until the second day, the holding of the largest trade show in Southeast Asia recorded a total transaction value of 1.45 billion US dollars.
Primary Product Export Development Director Merry Maryati expressed his appreciation for the trade representatives who participated and facilitated the signing.
"I believe, the trust and enthusiasm of foreign business actors towards Indonesia is in line with the theme of THE 37th TEI, namely 'Strengthening Global Trade for Stronger Recovery'," said Merry.
It is known that the 37th TEI was held on 19-23 October 2022 (line) and until 19 December 2022 (online). On the first day, TEI scored a transaction of US$1.19 billion or equivalent to Rp. 18.45 trillion.
The transaction was signed simultaneously by buyers (buyers) from 14 countries with 100 trade agreements witnessed by the Minister of Trade.
The Ministry of Trade is optimistic that the total transactions at TEI this time could reach 10 billion US dollars, higher than the transactions at the previous event, which was 6.6 billion US dollars.
