Cilegon Police Satreskrim has arrested one suspect in a sexual abuse case against a minor. The Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Cilegon Police, AKP M Nandar, confirmed that his party had arrested one perpetrator of the crime of sexual abuse of minors.

"The perpetrator was arrested after the victim's parents reported to the Cilegon Police on Friday (October 7) at 14.30," Nandar said in a written statement, Wednesday, October 19.

The perpetrator VH (29), a resident of Grogol District, Cilegon City, committed his depraved act against the victim, namely Bunga (13).

"The incident occurred on Monday (3 October) at around nine o'clock at night. At the crime scene, precisely in Cibeber District, Cilegon City. The perpetrator, who is the father, continued the victim, carried out his depraved act against the victim," continued Nandar.

Nandar explained that the depraved act was revealed when the victim's mother smelled her husband's sweat stuck to her child's clothes. The perpetrator, said Nandar, was the victim's stepfather.

"The victim's mother knew the perpetrator's obscene act because she was suspicious that the perpetrator's sweat was stuck to the victim's child's shirt, and a lot of tissue was reduced. The victim's mother herself married the perpetrator in July 2022," he explained again.

For this incident, the victim's mother and the victim reported the incident to the Cilegon Police for follow-up.

The perpetrator was arrested on Friday afternoon, October 7, at around 17.30 WIB in the Cikerut area, Karang Asem Village, Cibeber District, Cilegon City

"Currently, the perpetrator has been detained at the Cilegon Police for further investigation. The perpetrator is threatened with a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison," he concluded.
