Even Though It Has Only Been Achieved 80 Percent, The Transformation Has Succeeded In Realizing BUMN Revenue To Be IDR 2,292.5 Trillion
BALI - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Erick Thohir revealed that the progress of SOE transformation has reached 80 percent. This effort will continue to be pushed over the next 1.5 years to reach 100 percent.
"Since 2019, the Ministry of SOEs has continued to carry out the transformation of SOEs comprehensively, and the progress of the transformation of SOEs currently has reached 80 percent," said Erick Thohir at the SOE International Conference, quoted by Antara, Monday, October 17.
Erick prioritizes for the next 1.5 years to continue to encourage the transformation of SOEs to reach up to 100 percent.
The performance of the Ministry of SOEs in 2021 has resulted in several important achievements, such as the income of all state-owned companies in 2021 reaching IDR 2,292.5 trillion, an increase of 18.8 percent compared to 2020.
The results of the transformation of the BUMN show that the various policies that have been prepared and implemented have been running in the right direction.
"The continuation of this transformation is very important for SOEs to carry out their role as creators of values and development agents to be more effective and make a real contribution to the country and society of Indonesia," said Erick.
He added that SOE International Conference is part of the Indonesian Government's initiative to inform the international community about the transformation of SOEs carried out and explain the importance of SOEs for the Indonesian people.
Previously, the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) held a SOE International Conference: Driving Sustainable & Inclusive Growth at the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center on 17-18 October 2022 as part of Trade, Investment & Industry Working Group (TIIWG) Road to G20.
SOE International Conference will discuss the role of SOEs in the three priority agendas of President of the G20 Indonesia, including healthcare, energy transition, and financial inclusion.
BUMN as a development agent has a role in accelerating the national economic recovery after the COVID-19 pandemic, one of which is realized through strengthening the BUMN business ecosystem which also involves the private sector through strategic program cooperation.
