PLN CONTINUES To Increase Electricity Reliability In North Sulawesi And Gorontalo
PT PLN (Persero) continues to increase the reliability of electricity systems in North Sulawesi and Gorontalo (Sulutgo) Provinces, especially after electrical disturbances a few days ago."Focus on accelerating the reliability of the electricity system after the electrical disturbance that occurred on Tuesday (11/10) in parts of North Sulawesi and Gorontalo," said PT PLN (Persero) Director of Transmission and System Planning Evy Haryadi, in Manado, quoted from Antara, Saturday 15 October.He said that his party was present to directly review a number of locations to identify and conduct deepening related to the cause of the disturbance.He explained that the disruption to the electricity system of North Sulawesi and Gorontalo (SulutGo) last Tuesday caused a loss of 240 MW of the total 26 affected substations.In an effort to increase the reliability of the post-interrupted North Sulawesi electricity system, PLN immediately held a coordination and direct review meeting to identify the cause of disturbances and comprehensive improvement so that the system can return to its reliable."We are trying to continue to improve the reliability of the system, identification of the cause of the disturbance has also been carried out," said Haryadi.In the process of restoring the electricity system, PLN through two Main Units, namely the North Sulawesi Regional Main Unit (UIW), Central Sulawesi, and Gorontalo and the Sulawesi Generation and Distribution Main Unit (UIKL) continues to synergize in accelerating post-disruption recovery.Furthermore, PLN is also trying to continue to increase the reliability of the long-term electricity supply in the North Sulawesi electricity system, including by providing backup power through generators at all substations according to the priority scale and building a loop transmission line to increase system strength."We are compiling a short, medium to long-term plan.
