Through Psychotes, PDIP Prevents The Entry Of Pragmatic Candidates Who Become Political Traders

The PDI-P (PDIP) held a psychological test for more than 26 thousand candidates. The activity which will be held today, Friday, October 14 to November 5 is carried out to find a person who meets the three main criteria.

"Starting October 14, around 26 thousand legislative candidates will be tested. We add 3 criteria for cadres. Whether he is a fighter, does he have the capability to carry out his executive-legislative functions, or is his pragmatism that stands out," said PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto in a written statement, Friday, October 14.

Hasto said this activity would later be opened by the Chairperson of the PDIP DPP for Ideology Djarot Saiful Hidayat. This is the tenth year that his party has carried out psychological tests for his prospective candidate.

PDIP often holds psychological tests to see the ability of a cadre who will be assigned to parliamentary and executive seats. This activity is also considered capable of reading a person's tendency to be corrupt or not.

"Of course, if the psychological test results show that someone tends to be pragmatic, then the party will have to be careful. If the tendency is pragmatic, he has the potential to become a political trader," said Hasto.

He ensured that his party had various provisions for its cadres, especially those who wanted to run in the 2024 election. Regarding corruption, for example, PDIP has confirmed that it will fire and will not even nominate anyone related to alleged corruption.

Even so, Hasto did not deny that there are still many parties that actually apply otherwise. For example, during the Pilkada in South Tangerang and Gorontalo when PDIP chose not to nominate figures who were considered to be related to corruption or had legal problems.

However, these efforts do not make PDIP always win. "Even though it does not have an electoral effect, PDIP still does not have symptoms and does not nominate those who are corruption suspects. This is one of the root of the problem is the liberal election system," said Hasto.

Returning to the psychological test, the Head of the DPP PDIP Secretariat, Yoseph Aryo Adhi Dharmo, said that daily psychological tests are divided into two batches, morning and afternoon. Willing legislative candidates when taking zoom must use the given test number and short name.

"During the test, balaleg must activate the video zoom camera because it will be monitored directly by HIMPSI and the Party DPP Secretariat," explained Adhi Dharmo.

For participants who will leave their position from the zoom video camera, they are required to convey their permission to the supervisor via chat room.

"Psikotes last for 5 hours, so participants need to prepare to drink enough and have good stamina," he concluded.
