So Vital Motherboard Component
YOGYAKARTA - Motherboard or referred to as mb, mainboard, mboard, mobo, modd, backplane board, base board, play circuit board, planar board, system board, or logic board on Apple's computer. Then component motherboard?
Motherboard is a printed circuit board and computer foundation which is the largest board in computer chassis. It allocates power and allows communication to and between CPU, RAM, and all other computer hardware components.
Mouse & keyboard
Keyboard connectors are essentially two types. All PCs have keyboard ports directly connected to the motherboard. The oldest type, but still quite common, is a special DIN, and most PCs have so far maintained this style connector. The AT-style keyboard connectors quickly disappeared, replaced by a smaller PS/2 DIN-style mini keyboard connector.
You can use the AT-style keyboard with a PS/2 (or vice versa) styled figure by using a converter. Although the AT connector is unique on PC, PS/2-style mini-DINs are also used in more modern PCs for mice. Fortunately, most PCs that use mini-DINs for keyboards and mice clearly mark every mini-DIN poset for the right use. Some keyboards have USB connections, but this is quite rare compared to the PS/2 connection keyboard.
USB (Universal bus series)
USB is a versatile connection for PCs. You can find USB versions of various devices, such as mouse, keyboard, scanner, camera, and even printer. The typical rectangular shape of the USB connector makes it easy to recognize.
USB has a number of features that make it very popular on PCs. First, a hot swappable USB device. You can enter or delete it without restarting your system.
Port parallel
Most printers use special connectors called parallel ports. Parallel ports carry data on more than one cable, in contrast to serial ports, which use only one cable. Parallel ports use a 25-pin female DB connector. Parallel ports are directly supported by motherboards via direct connection or via wins.
CPU chip
The central processing unit, also called the microprocessor, performs all the calculations that occur inside the computer. CPUs come in various shapes and sizes.
Modern CPUs produce a lot of heat and therefore require a cool or heat sink fan. Cooler devices (such as cooling fans) can be removed, although some CPU manufacturers sell CPUs with permanently installed fans.
Slot RAM
Random-Access Memory (RAM) stores programs and data that are being used by CPUs. RAM is measured in a unit called byte. RAM has been packaged in various ways. The latest package is called DIMM 168-pin (Doubly Lined Memory Mode).
Floppy controller
The Floppy drive is connected to the computer via a 34-pin ribbon cable, which in turn connects to the motherboard. The Floppy controller is one of the things used to control the floppy drive.
IDEA controller
Industry standard determines two types of common hard drives: EIDE and SCSI. Most PCs use the EIDE drive. SCSI drives appear on high-end PCs such as network servers or graphic workstations. The EIDE drive is connected to the hard drive via a 2-inch wide 40-pin bandwire, which in turn is connected to the motherboard. The IDEA controller is responsible for controlling the hard drive.
PCI Slot
Intel introduced the Peripheral component interconnection bus protocol. The PCI bus is used to connect I/O devices (such as NIC or RAID controllers) to computer main logic. The PCI bus has replaced the ISA bus.
Slot ISA
ISA (Industrial Standards Architecture) This is the standard bus architecture of Expansion. Motherboard may contain several slots to connect cards compatible with ISA.
CMOS Battery
To power CMOS when the computer is turned off, all motherboards are equipped with batteries. These batteries are mounted on the motherboard in one of three ways: the external battery is obsolete, the most common onboard battery, and the internal battery.
AGP Slot
If you have a modern motherboard, you will almost certainly see a connector that looks like a PCI slot, but slightly shorter and usually brown. You may also have a video card inserted into this slot. This is an Advanced Graphics Port (AGP) slot.
CPU slot
To install a CPU, simply slide straight down into the slot. A special notch in the slot makes it impossible to install it incorrectly. So remember if it doesn't go easy, it may not be right. Make sure to plug in the CPU fan power.
Colours of power supply
The power supply, as the name suggests, provides the necessary electrical power to make computers operational. the power supply uses standard 110-V AC power and is converted into 12-Volt, 5-Volt, and 3.3-Volt DC power.
