According To The Case Of Illegal Disastering In SBT, The Maluku Police Had Been Protested By The Perpetrators. Claims Have A Complete Letter

Maluku - Maluku Police have uncovered cases of illegal logging and the use of fake documents in West Bula, Eastern Seram (SBT).The Head of Public Relations of the Maluku Police, Kombes M. Roem Ohoirat, said that there was a case of illegal logging accusing the police of the arrested perpetrators, of claiming to have a complete permit from the Maluku Provincial Forestry Service.“ The confiscation of wood carried out in front of the West Bula Sub-Sector Police, the SBT Police on Sunday night, was in accordance with the procedure. Because, from the results of the examination of the documents or permits brought, it turned out to be fake or edited,” Roem said in Ambon, Antara, Thursday, October 13.He explained, from the results of supervision related to the handling of the case, it was in accordance with Law No. 18 of 2013 concerning Prevention and Eradication of forest damage, especially article 16.“ Which reads, everyone who transports wood from forest products must have a document which is a legal certificate of forest products in accordance with the provisions of the legislation,” he said. The alleged illegal logging case began when a member of the West Bula Sub-Sector Police, West Bula District, SBT district stopped the truck with the police number DE 8577 LU on Sunday at around 23.30 WIT.The green car driven by Ramiyona alias Bagong was loaded with 7.52 cubic meters of wood.During the examination, Bagong submitted a document in the form of a valid certificate of forest products (SKSHHK) number KB.C.0471130 which was issued on August 22, 2022. This document is valid from August 22, 2022 to September 6, 2022.After receiving the document, the next member checked the document by “scanner barcode ” way.At that time there was a difference in the date of issuance and the validity period of the document.Members of the SBT Police then coordinated with the Maluku Forestry Service with the result that the SKSHH document number KB.C.0471130 which was used as a document that complements the wood being transported, has been edited and does not match the original. Thus, the SKSHH was declared fake and the wood being transported was illegal. In addition, from the results of the examination of Meryam alias Mama Yam (wife of Phang Ki Pet) the owner of the wood explained that the SKSHH document number KB.C.0471130 which was used as a document for the transportation of the wood had been edited by her son, Yeni Ardila, who is currently working at the Maluku Forestry Service."So the document is clearly fake," said Roem.Roem continued, the Maluku Police will support the SBT Police in handling the case and ask the SBT Police to disclose it transparently, including asking for legal responsibility against all parties involved, including forgers of the document." “ We also appeal to the attorney to take legal action / pre-trial if they consider the confiscation of wood and transportation equipment (trucks) in this case inappropriate," added Roem.
