17 Computer Unit Of Simeulue District Government, Aceh Raib, Police Chased Thieves
JAKARTA - The Simeulue Police conducted an investigation regarding the disappearance of 17 computers at the Simeulue District Government's Job Training Center (BLK) located in Lugu Village, East Simeulue District, Aceh.
"We are currently investigating the theft case," said the Chief of Police of Simeulue, Aceh Province, AKBP Agung Surya Prabowo represented by Head of Criminal Investigation Unit, Ipda Muhammad Rizal who was contacted from Meulaboh, reported by Antara, Thursday, December 3.
According to Ipda Muhammad Rizal, based on the results of the temporary investigation the police believe the perpetrator of the theft is estimated to be more than one person.
"When carrying out the theft, the perpetrator was also caught by a surveillance camera (CCTV) at the Simeulue District Government's Job Training Center," he said.
According to him, the theft was first discovered by Rasmin, a Civil Servant (PNS) of the Simeulue Regency Government Work Training Center, who reported the loss of 17 computer units on Wednesday night, at around 20:16 WIB.
Suspecting that the computer device had been lost, witness Rasmin then immediately reported the incident to the police.
We still do not know the amount of loss, including what items were lost other than these 17 computers, "said Ipda Muhammad Rizal.
Based on the results of the crime scene investigation, the police suspect that the perpetrators entered the training room on how to pry the window and damage the window trellis, then entered the room and took 17 computers.
After successfully committing the crime, the perpetrators took the computer device into a car and then fled, said Ipda Muhammad Rizal.
