JAKARTA - The Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) has succeeded in dismantling 273,000 bureaucratic cases which led to a prison sentence of 410.000 people in the last five years.
This achievement shows the efforts of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party (CPC) in optimizing the performance of local governments and their officials, the Chinese anti-corruption agency told the press in Beijing, Sunday (9/10) quoted from Antara.
In the last five years since the 19th CPC National Congress, the agency has intensively taken action against officials and bureaucrats.
The main focus is on some bureaucratic work in the fields of education, medicine, environment, and food security.
However, CCDI stated that this action would not end here. The institution will help grassroots community in overcoming their daily workload.
The commission will also maintain the momentum of action against officials and bureaucrats who violate the law to optimize long-term work programs, the CCDI said.
The CCDI held a meeting in Beijing on Sunday to report its five-year performance ahead of the CPC's 20th National Congress.
