Extraordinary Authority Woo And Squid Game Winning Big At ACA

JAKARTA - The Korea Extraordinary Authority Woo and Squid Game series won a big win at the Asia Content Awards (ACA) which is part of the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF).

Extraordinary Attorney Woo won the award for Best Content. In addition, Park Eun Bin as Woo's lawyer also got the Best Actress trophy. The series, which aired on the ENA cable channel, has the highest record in the channel's broadcasting history. Netflix also aired it in several areas and was ranked first weekly non-English for two consecutive months

Meanwhile, Netflix's Squid Game won the award for Best Supporting Technical Actor and Actor for Park Hae Soo, who plays Lee Jung-jae's main character childhood friend.

Deadline broadcast, Monday, October 10, Best Actor awarded to Suzuki Ryohei, Japanese serial star Mobile Emergency Room, which broadcast on Japanese channels TBS and Disney+, while Best Supporting Actress was awarded to Sora Ma from the Singapore series This Land Is Mine.

Best Newcomer falls to actress banyan Shang En for China Love Behind The welcome and actor Yokohama Ryusei for The Journalist from Japan.

The Best Writer Award was given to Wang Xiaoshuai and Yang Yishu from China through The Pavilion series which aired on iQiyi.

Chinese actress Fan Bingbing was awarded the ACA Excellence Award. The ACA Rising Star award was given to Kin Minha for Pachinko and Ling Man Lung for In Geek We Trust.

Kawamura Tatsuo, chairman of Japanese talent agency K Dash Co, was awarded Lifetime Achievement or Life Achievement, and Song Byeong Joon, president of the Korean Drama Production Association, won the Achievement award.

The award was initiated by BIFF and the Asian Contents & Film Market (ACFM) in 2019 to appreciate the incredible content of TV, OTT, and online from Korea and across Asia. This year's ceremony begins with the performances of saksofon player Danny Jung and K-pop idol group NiziU and Golden Child.
