Ahead Of The Stadia Server Dismissal, Google Takes A Fixed Game Can Play Well
JAKARTA - At the end of last September, Google announced that its game streaming service server, Stadia, will be turned off on January 18, 2023.
All players can still play the games in the Stadia library and online game servers until the same time limit.
Despite being able to play, Google has now closed the Stadia Store and deactivated all trading on the Stadia platform, including in-game transactions.
A quick update on Pro subs: we’ve started processing cancellations on our end, which may trigger a cancellation email to subscribers. Rest assured that you’ll maintain access to Pro benefits until Stadia winds down. More info: https://t.co/G9CEGZhpcl pic.twitter.com/xZbJtoqMRg

Google also added that ahead of the cut off of its servers, there would be a possibility of some gameplay problems during that period.
"Especially any game that requires trading, but most games will continue to function normally," Google said in its update shared on Twitter.
The tech giant also said that there are several games that can be moved like other platforms, such as Ubisoft's game which can be moved through the Ubisoft Connect.
"While that's possible for some games that support cross-progress games on other platforms, unfortunately, for the most part game, it's impossible," he explained.
Then regarding refunds, Google will offer refunds for all Stadia hardware purchases, which include Stadia Controllers, Founding Editions, Premiere Edition, and Play and Watch with Google TV packages made via Google Stores and software transactions (games and additional purchases) through the Stadia store.
Currently, Google is working on a refund process so it is hoped that it can be given to most of the players in early January 18, 2023. In addition, players do not need to return Stadia's hardware to get a refund.
