Baim And Paula Reported To The South Jakarta Police, SPI: This Becomes Learning, Don't Play With The Law

JAKARTA Baim Wong and Paula Verhoeven were officially reported by Friends of the Indonesian Police (SPI) to the South Jakarta Metro Police, Monday afternoon, October 3. Tengku Zanzabella as the party (SPI), said the report was made because the artist couple was considered to have made a joke to the public.

The report is registered in the number LP/B/2386/X/2022 South Jakarta Metro Police dated October 3, 2022.

"Today we reported BW and his wife. We report it because there is a prank or publicization. So we have to act to correct the name of the Polri institution," said Tengku at the South Jakarta Metro Police, Monday, October 3.

The same thing was said by SPI's attorney, Eko. According to him, Baim Wong and Paula's actions went into the criminal realm regarding Article 220 of the Criminal Code. Moreover, they did so against the Polri institution.

"This is a lesson for all of us to play with legal issues, especially at the police station. That is an institution formed by law. So we respect and respect each other. I think so," he said.

He also said that the evidence attached at the time of the report at the South Jakarta Metro Police was a video that appeared on YouTube.

"We have given all the evidence. From the video they look like it is a sign of evidence," he said.

Regarding Baim Wong's apology, Eko emphasized that he would continue to carry out the legal process. This is done as a deterrent effect to the person concerned.

"Not yet, we will continue," he concluded.

For information, the prank action was recorded in a video that had aired on Baim Paula's Youtube channel on Sunday, October 2. However, now the video has been taken down or deleted.

In the video, Paula pretends to make a report on the domestic violence case at the Kebayoran Lama Police, South Jakarta. Meanwhile, at that time Baim was sitting in the car and monitoring Paula's activities which were caught on camera.

Baim was seen laughing when Paula entered the Kebayoran Lama Police. He also felt a little tense. Arriving at the Kebayoran Lama Police Station, Paula said she wanted to report her husband who had committed violence against her.

The police officer on duty initially did not know the woman Paula because of the mask she was wearing. He then asked Paula to take off her mask and began to recognize Paula.

Police officers who were not in uniform had returned to their rooms to wear uniforms because they wanted to handle Paula's report. Not long after, Baim, who was waiting outside the Kebayoran Lama Police Station, met Paula in the reporting room.

The policeman immediately realized that he was being pranked by Baim and Paula.

"Prank huh?" said the policeman.

Baim and Paula laughed while admitting that they were doing pranks by pretending to make a domestic violence case report.
