Call The Tragedy Of The Kanjuruhan Stadium As Learning, The Head Of The West Sumatra PSSI Asprov: Become A Joint Evaluation Material
JAKARTA - Chairman of the Association of Provinces (Asprov) of the All-Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) of West Sumatra, Indra Dt Rajo Lelo, said that the disaster that occurred at the Malang Kanjuruhan Stadium must be a lesson for West Sumatra football.
"On behalf of the West Sumatra PSSI, we are sorry for the disaster that happened in Malang, this is our shared sorrow and of course we don't want this to happen," said Indra, quoted from Antara Monday.
He said this incident must be a common evaluation material so that there are things that can be done so that similar incidents do not happen again.
"This certainly doesn't have to happen and no one wants it. This is a common evaluation material for us in West Sumatra," he continued.
Moreover, Asprov PSSI West Sumatra will roll out Liga 3 at the West Sumatra level which will start on October 10.
"So far, preparations have been made so that the implementation of this competition can run smoothly and produce the best team that will represent West Sumatra to the National League 3," he said.
Previously, the Daily Chair of Semen Padang FC Supporter, Supporter Padang and Children Rantau Cinta Kabau Sirah (Spartyack) Vembi Fernando deeply regretted the humanitarian tragedy that occurred at the Malang Kanjuruhan Stadium which caused 120 people to die after the Arema Malang match against Persebaya.
"We deeply regret the occurrence of a humanitarian tragedy in this national football world. But once again, football is just entertainment, there is no life for football," he said.
He hopes this will be the last tragedy and that he represents Spartack expressing his deepest condolences for the events that befell his colleagues in Malang.
For him, the Kanjuruhan Malang Stadium is not a foreign stadium because in 2006-2011 he always took the time to come to this stadium either to enjoy Arema matches or when Semen Padang FC came to visit.
Vembi saw that the number of fatalities was allegedly due to mass dispelling procedures from the security forces being accused of triggering fatalities.
"Based on FIFA rules, security must not carry weapons or tear gas when securing matches," he said.
