AC Milan Plans To Come To Pulisic And Ziyech If Contract Negotiated Rafael Leao's Contracts
JAKARTA - AC Milan is still trying to extend Rafael Leao's contract. However, Milan already has a plan if their efforts come to a dead end.
AC Milan is rumored to be bringing in Christian Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech if Leao fails to maintain it.
Leao has indeed become a commodity in the transfer market. A number of top European clubs looked at the talented young Portuguese player.
Later if Leao is forced to sell it, Milan can use the money to buy Pulisic and Ziyech.
"Pulisic is an option to replace Leao if the Portuguese striker does not sign a contract extension with Serie A Giant, by the end of the season," Gazzetta Dello Sport reported.
Gazzetta also explained how the Rossoneri could have enough money to buy the two players.
Pulisic and Ziyech are currently still in Chelsea uniforms. But both are not the main choice for the Blues.
This situation is ready for Milan to take advantage of. The Italian club could persuade the two players to leave Stamford Bridge.
Ziyech had actually been the target of the Rossoneri I when he was still playing for Ajax Amsterdam. However, they failed to get it and Ziyech anchored to Chelsea.
Meanwhile, Leao reportedly also joined Chelsea. However, the Blues did not insist too much because they were reluctant to activate the release clause of the Sporting CP academy which touched 150 million euros (Rp 2.2 trillion).
Apart from Chelsea, Manchester City is also involved in the hunt for Leao. But The Citizens are still in the stage of monitoring and waiting until this season ends.
This situation could trigger a decrease in Leao's price. The reason is, currently the contract in question at Milan is valid until June 2024 and the club is still open to talks.
