About The Photo Of Australian Soldiers Holding A Knife Around The Neck Of An Afghan Child, PM Morrison: China Shows Its Dwarfism
JAKARTA - Australia has criticized China for uploading fake photos uploaded by Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian. Australia also calls China showing how dwarf they really are.
Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison made direct criticism. The Australian government also asked the Chinese government to apologize.
Previously, Lijian uploaded a photo showing an Australian soldier holding a knife near the neck of an Afghan child. Lijian wrote condemnation of Australia in the caption for the photo.
"Shocked by the killing of Afghan civilians and prisoners by Australian soldiers. We strongly condemn this kind of action, and hold them accountable."
According to Morrison, the photo is fake. The attitude of China, said Morrison, was very embarrassing. Morrison also said China was showing the world how small they really were.
"It is absolutely embarrassing and cannot be justified for any reason ... The Chinese government should be very, very ashamed of these posts. It dwarfs them in the eyes of the world," Morrison said at a media briefing.
Morrison said Australia had asked for the removal of the image he called "absolutely disgusting". Until this news was published, the upload could still be accessed on Zhao Lijian's Twitter account.
Morrison also said that countries around the world were monitoring Beijing's attitude in response to Australia's tense relations with China.
