Akibat Pandemi COVID-19, Musim Lalu Inter Milan Rugi Rp2,04 Triliun
JAKARTA - Inter Milan on Wednesday announced that it had cost 140 million euros (Rp 2.04 trillion) during the 2021-2022 season, which was a major drop due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The loss, which Inter Milan called due to restrictions related to the pandemic, which was still in effect during the first half of last season, reached 105 million euros lower than the previous season's losses.
Revenue also increased by 75 million euros in the previous season to 439.6 million euros.
Inter said that at the end of the 2019-2020 season (which entered its next financial year after the pandemic hit Europe), the increase in revenue reached 140 million euros.
Suning, who owns Inter, has "officially expressed its commitment to support the group" by covering up the club's losses, Inter said.
"The two main goals of the club are unwavering, namely maintaining the team's competitiveness at the highest level in every competition and strengthening its financial position," Inter said.
On Friday, Inter's tough feud in Serie A, Juventus, recorded a very large loss of 254.3 million euros (Rp 3.7 trillion). This is the fifth year in a row Juve's balance sheet is in the red zone.
