Amazon says Alexa Custom Assistant is a comprehensive solution that makes it easier for BMW and other brands to create their own custom smart assistants who are tailored to their brand personalities and customer needs.
The new BMW custom assistant, will begin rolling out in the first vehicle in the next two years. Its capabilities will include more natural dialogue between the driver and the vehicle.
"The BMW assistant will provide customers with benefits from smart assistants who are vehicle and service experts, while Alexa will provide a familiar experience that many customers already know and like," he said.
Not only that, Alexa Custom Assistant is also built with a high level of privacy, as BMW has shared its commitments with Amazon to safeguard its customers by protecting their privacy, including giving control of their data.
Assistant Alexa also has a slick feature that allows him to pay attention to car battery power and ask motorists to search and order charging stations.
More than that, the custom assistant can also tell when your vehicle will be checked for maintenance and help arrange a meeting agreement with the dealer. In other words, Amazon sees this as the next step in its plans to dominate, or at least try to provide experience in the car.
