Minister Of Finance Sri Mulyani: Fiscal Incentive For Customs And Excise Has Been Distributed Rp1.05 Trillion
JAKARTA - Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati stated that fiscal incentives in the customs and excise sector until August 2022 have been disbursed amounting to Rp1.05 trillion for handling the COVID-19 pandemic."Customs provides incentives in terms of national economic recovery may not be too much Rp1.05 trillion, especially for several health-related matters," he said at the KITA State Budget Press Conference in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, September 27.This customs and excise incentive includes fiscal incentives for the business world of Rp. 7 billion, namely additional incentives for tied areas (KB) and facilities for easy imports of export destinations (KITE).Then also fiscal incentives to import vaccines amounting to Rp831 billion for 53.48 million doses with an import value of Rp4.02 trillion.Next is the fiscal incentive for importing medical devices of Rp217 billion with an import value of Rp1.02 trillion covering the three largest medical devices, namely oxygen, concentrators, generators and ventilators.Sri Mulyani explained that customs facilities for next year regarding COVID-19 medical devices and vaccines will be further evaluated. This is because the provision of incentives for the health sector in 2023 can still use other facilities schemes such as facilities for the government for the public interest. Then also charitable or social grant facilities, facilities for research and development as well as investment facilities."We hope that this will be minimized (incentive for handling the pandemic) so that we will apply selective incentives," he said.
