Healing Relations Kevin Sanjaya Now No Longer Trained By Herry IP, How's The Fate Of The Minions?
JAKARTA - Bad news hit PBSI. Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo's relationship with Indonesia's men's doubles head coach, Herry Iman Pierngadi, is reportedly heating up.
In fact, Herry IP is reported to have not handled Kevin anymore. This was confirmed by the coach.
He admitted that he had not coached Kevin during the PBSI National Training Center in Cipayung. "It's not me, Kevin doesn't want to train with me. It's better to just ask Kevin," Herry IP told reporters via telephone in Jakarta, as reported by Antara, Monday, September 26.
Herry admitted that he did not know why Kevin was reluctant to train with him. He learned about this after receiving news from the Assistant Coach of Doubles Putra Aryono Miranat after the Indonesia Open 2022 which rolled 14-19 last June.
"He said Kevin was no longer suitable for training with me. If he doesn't feel suitable anymore, then he doesn't have to practice with me," he added.
Kevin Sanjaya, said Herry, continues to train at the Cipayung National Training Center. However, he separated himself from the men's doubles squad which was raised by the coach nicknamed the Dragon of Fire.
"Now the training is with friends in Pratama and mix (mixed doubles). The training remains at national training, but does not join the men's doubles," said Herry.
However, Herry continued, Kevin was still paired with Marcus Fernaldi Gideon even though the two trained separately. The cold-handed coach did not want to bother with the matter. Herry would rather focus on other men's doubles athletes.
"If you are disappointed, you will be disappointed, but what can you do? Disappointed, you can't drag on. I also have to think about something else. There is still Fajar Alfian/M Rian Ardianto and there are still young people," said Herry.
"I don't want to think too much about it. There are still many children who need me at the national training. I think about them. The point is, I don't have a problem with that," he said.
On this occasion, Herry also emphasized that the PBSI National Training Center was in good condition. "Sinyo (Marcus) also has no problem. No problems and is not disturbed at all. Just walk normally," concluded Herry.
