Present At The Expo And 60th Anniversary Of SMKN 1 Denpasar, The Governor Of Bali Asked Students To Create Electric Composites To Battery-Based Motorcycles
DENPASAR - Bali Governor Wayan Koster asked students from the State Vocational High School (SMKN) 1 Denpasar to create the work of electric stove products to convert motorcycles made from fuel to battery-based.
"In order not to import, I also ask to create rice cookers and electric stoves, to technology that is appropriate in order to support the downstreaming of agriculture to marine in Bali. I am sure that the younger students of SMK are good at it," said Koster, quoted by Antara, Sunday, September 25.
While attending the Expo and 60th Anniversary of SMKN 1 Denpasar, Koster said that to support the achievements of this student, the welfare of the teacher must be fought for.
He then asked teachers to always build specific education, competence, and expertise systems to build quality and superior human resources, professional, integrity, morality, high competitiveness, and have an order of life values based on Sad Kerthi's local wisdom.
When asking students to produce creative and innovative works that are beneficial to Bali and inspire national development, Koster told his journey before arriving at the current highest seat of the Bali Provincial Government.
Since elementary school, I have lived in a remote village, namely in Sembiran Village, Tejakula District, Buleleng, with the condition of a family who is not only poor, but is on the poverty line by owning a bedeg house. Food every day but still enthusiastic about working to collect sand from Tejakula to Sembiran, hoeing, and selling banana leaves to be used as snacks," he said.
Koster said that his journey to reaching university, joining politics to become the Governor of Bali to motivate students of SMKN 1 Denpasar to be superior and competitive.
In addition to motivating students to create works from electric stoves to motorbike conversions, during his visit Koster also appreciated the school when holding exhibitions and celebrating the anniversary of continuing to wear Balinese traditional clothing.
"Bali traditional clothing is the identity of Balinese local wisdom culture, so we must maintain and preserve it in accordance with the principles of Bung Karno's Trisakti, namely politically sovereign, economically independent and with a personality in culture in accordance with the vision of the development of the Bali area, Nangun Sat Kerthi Loka Bali," he said.
