Involved in Corruption of Public Health Center Project to State Loss of IDR 3.9 Billion, Prosecutor's Office of Lembata NTT Holds PPK Initials KTM
LEMBATA - Investigators from the Lembata State Prosecutor's Office, East Nusa Tenggara, detained an official who committed to the local Health Service with the initials KTM after being a suspect.
KTM was involved in a corruption case involving the construction of the Wairiang and Balauring Health Centers which cost the state finances IDR 3.9 billion.
"The suspect has been detained by investigators from the Lembata Prosecutor's Office since Thursday night. The detention of the suspect is carried out for investigation purposes", said Head of the Legal Information and Public Relations Section of the East Nusa Tenggara Province High Prosecutor's Office, Abdul Hakim, in Kupang, Antara, Friday, September 23.
According to him, the alleged corruption case carried out by the KTM suspect occurred in the construction project of two Public Health Center (Puskesmas) buildings in Lembata Regency, namely the Wairiang Health Center in Bean in 2019, which cost IDR 6 billion from the State Budget (APBD).
In the construction of the Wairiang Health Center, according to the results of the BPKP calculation, it was found that the state lost around IDR 1 billion. Meanwhile, for the construction of the Balauring Health Center in Wowon, which also cost more than IDR 6 billion, it was found that the potential loss to the state was around IDR 2.9 billion.
"According to the results of the investigation, this suspect is suspected of being involved in a criminal act of corruption in the budget for the construction project of two health centers in Lembata Regency", said Abdul Hakim.
He added that the suspect KTM was detained for the next 20 days and deposited at the Lembata Police for further investigation.
The KTM suspect was charged with Article 2 paragraph 1 or Article 3 of Law Number 31 of 1999 as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning Amendments to Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 of the Book of Criminal Law Act.
