The Latest Development Of The China Tiangong Space Station Yang Rampung End Of The Year
JAKARTA - Two Chinese astronauts have completed their space station again, Tiangong by traveling in spacewalks for four hours.
Astronauts Chen Dong and Cai Xuzhe of China National Space Administration (CNSA) embarked on their spacewalk on Saturday, September 17, at 01.35 EDT or 13.35 Beijing time outside Tiangong and spent 4 hours 12 minutes.
Both are working on a new Wentian laboratory module by installing a pump, a handle for opening the hatch door from outside in an emergency, and a foot sanitizer to attach the astronaut's legs to the robotic arm.
China launched the Wentian module on July 24. The module docked with the Tianhe core module from Tiangong station hours later, doubling the number of station modules to two.
While managing the spacewalk, both of them were assisted from inside Tiangong by Liu Yang's crewmates. Liu and Chen made their first space trip about two weeks ago by adding a 23-ton module to the station.
They will join three more astronauts towards the end of their mission, signaling the first time the station is inhabited by six people on board.
This latest Spacewalk is the second agenda during a six-month mission in the completion of the space station, and another mission will be delivered later this year.
It is known that according to VOA, Sunday, September 18, China is building its own space station after it was removed by the United States (US) from the International Space Station (ISS) because its military runs its country's space program.
US officials saw a number of strategic challenges from China's space ambitions, in the excitement of the US-Soviet competition that pushed the race to the Moon in the 1960s.
