JAKARTA - Deputy for Industry and Investment of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy Henky Hotma said that 92.37 percent of tourism and creative economy actors only rely on their own capital or loans from families to support their efforts.
"Permodalan is still one of the big obstacles for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the tourism sector and the creative economy," he said in an official statement, quoted from Antara, Saturday, September 17.
Even so, the performance of MSMEs in the tourism sector in the first quarter of 2022 reached Rp312.75 billion and increased in the second quarter of 2022 to Rp326.63 billion. In other words, he continued, the tourism sector's contribution to the national economy in the first quarter was 6.93 percent and the second quarter was 6.64 percent.
The statement was made after his party held a Conventional Banking Business Meeting which was intended for 100 creative and creative business actors in Cikarang, Bekasi Regency, West Java, Thursday (15/9).
"As for the details, 80 participants of the tourism business were assisted by the Chairman of Commission X DPR Syaiful Huda and 20 participants assisted by the Bekasi Regency Tourism Office who attended offline," said Henky.
The activity was carried out with the aim of bringing together banks and tourism business actors in an effort to expand access to capital for creative and creative actors.
"This activity is carried out so that tourism and creative economy business actors get information on the KUR (People's Business Credit) program as well as can take advantage of the banking financing program through a meeting of conventional banking businesses so that they can rise again to produce and grow," he said.
The event consisted of a panel session for exposure to the introductory KUR policy and socialization of the Tourism and Creative Economy sector KUR, as well as an audience session with the Chairman of Commission X of the DPR RI Syaiful Huda with tourism actors offline.
