Remember Vinicius Avoids Samba Dance Celebrations At The Madrid Derby, Koke: There Will Definitely Be Problems And That's Normal

JAKARTA - Atletico Madrid captain Koke warned Vinicius Jr not to celebrate the Samba dance if he scored in the Madrid derby this weekend.

Atletico will host their city rivals Real Madrid in week 6 of La Liga 2022/2023 at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium on Monday, September 19 in the morning WIB.

Vinicius is likely to be on the line-up of Carlo Ancelotti's side for that match. Seeing the performance so far, his chances of scoring a goal are open if he is given time to play.

Koke said that Vinicius could freely do what he wanted to celebrate his goal if he managed to break into Atletico's goal. However, Samba dance celebrations will definitely not be received by supporters.

"If he [Vinicius] scores a goal and decides to dance then he can freely do what he wants to do," Koke said.

Vinicius Junior has enjoyed an encouraging start to the 2022/2023 season campaign. The Brazilian has scored five goals and recorded three assists in eight appearances across the competition.

He scored his latest goal in La Liga in a match against Mallorca on September 11. However, after scoring the goal, Samba dance celebration was reported to have angered the opposing coach.

"Everyone has their own way and celebrates goals the way they want, but there will definitely be problems and that will be the most normal thing," said Koke.

Real Madrid are currently top of the table with a collection of 15 points after winning their five games so far.

Meanwhile, Atletico are still seventh in the standings. Los Rojiblanco are still five points behind their city rivals.
