Jokowi Teken Inpres The Use Of Electric Vehicles For The Department, Deputy Governor Of Pamer DKI Already Uses Electric Transjakarta Buses

JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta said that currently the DKI Provincial Government has used electric vehicles on Transjakarta buses. This is in response to the follow-up to Presidential Instruction (Inpres) Number 7/2022 regarding the use of electric vehicles into official vehicles for central and regional government agencies.Sehingga, sebelum Instruksi itu diteken Presiden Joko Widodo, Riza menyebut DKI tegading penggunaan kendaraan listrik yang setiap tahun jumlahnya akan ditambah."Regarding electric vehicles, the DKI Provincial Government has started by presenting Transjakarta buses in the future, we will add more until 2030. Every year we will add more electric buses," said Riza at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Thursday, September 15.Then, Riza said that gradually the DKI Provincial Government will gradually replace official vehicles in government agencies that are fueled with oil into electric vehicles."In the future, of course, we will start according to our ability to carry motorbikes, as well as official cars, to use electric cars. That is our effort in an environmentally friendly manner to reduce the higher fuel load," he explained.Previously, President Joko Widodo had signed Presidential Instruction No. 7/2022 concerning Battery-Battery Electric Vehicles (Battery Electric Vehicles) as Operational Service Vehicles and/or Individual Vehicles of the Central Government Agency and Regional Government Agencies.President Jokowi signed this presidential decree on September 13, 2022. Presidential Chief of Staff Moeldoko said this inpresion was a manifestation of Jokowi's commitment to implementing the energy transition from fossil sources to new and renewable energy.“ To realize the big design of the energy transition, the government begins by transitioning and converting conventional vehicles to electric vehicles," said Moeldoko.Presidential Instruction No. 7/2022 is aimed at all ministers in the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet, cabinet secretaries, presidential chiefs, attorney generals, TNI commanders, Indonesian police chiefs, heads of non-ministerial government institutions, heads of state institution secretariats, governors, as well as regents/mayors.Through the Presidential Instruction, Jokowi ordered every minister to the regional head to draw up and establish regulations to support the acceleration of the implementation of the use of electric vehicles. The President also instructed the preparation of budget allocations to support the program.Based on Presidential Instruction 7/2022, the use of electric vehicles as government official vehicles can be done through a purchase, rental, and/or conversion of fuel motorized vehicles into battery-based electric motor vehicles in accordance with the provisions of the legislation.
