Bekasi Jambe Baru Face After 3 Days Of Marathon, Cleaner And Freer From Waste
BEKASI - Jambe River in Bekasi Regency, West Java Province, is free from piles of garbage after marathon cleaning activities for three consecutive days."From this activity, we can see that the condition of the river that is our target is free from the garbage that has accumulated on the river surface and riverbanks. Now the river is clean," said Acting Head of the Bekasi Regency Environmental Service Rahmat Atong in Cikarang, Antara, Wednesday, September 14.The activity of cleaning and transporting garbage along the river that crosses the South Tambun District to North Tambun is part of an effort to reduce the risk of flooding.Atong explained that the district government is running the Tanggulangi, Response, and Fast Waste Disorders Program in the River or Gas to restore river conditions while reducing the risk of flooding."Of course this is a shared responsibility in the future, not only local governments, but also all residents. The full awareness of all residents is needed to maintain the cleanliness of the environment, including river flows," he said.He emphasized the importance of citizen participation in efforts to maintain environmental cleanliness, including the cleanliness of watersheds."Now it's clean, so please don't be polluted again by garbage that just throws it into the river.
