JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) will recall former Air Force Chief of Staff (KSAU) Agus Supriatna on Thursday, September 15. He will be summoned as a witness to alleged corruption in the procurement of the AW-101 Helicopter within the Indonesian Air Force."The investigative team has sent a second summons," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri in a written statement, Tuesday, September 13.Ali asked Agus to cooperate in fulfilling the KPK's summons. This is a legal obligation for every citizen.Later, Agus can explain to investigators that he feels that his summons is not in accordance with the laws and regulations. Moreover, the examination is necessary to make light of the alleged corruption that is being investigated."We believe that the witness in question as a good citizen will obey the summons as a witness by law enforcement," he said."KPK summons witnesses, of course, because there is a legal basis as a need for an investigation process so that the suspect's actions become clear so that we immediately take this case to trial to provide legal certainty," said Ali.As previously reported, Agus was absent from the KPK's summons on Thursday, September 8. Through his attorney, Pahrozi, the former KSAU felt that the KPK had no right to summon him.As for this case, the Director of PT Diratama Jaya Mandiri Irfan Kurnia Saleh or John Irfan Kenway is a suspect in the alleged bribery in the procurement of the AW-101 helicopter. He was detained at the KPK Detention Center at the KPK's Merah Putih building.The KPK suspects that Irfan as a private party is actively holding meetings with the Indonesian Air Force and committing a number of frauds.Among other things, receiving a payment of 100 percent of the contract value.
