ACEH - Police have examined nine witnesses to investigate cases of alleged sexual violence against a sixth grade elementary school (SD) student in West Aceh. In this case, the reported party is a neighbor of the victim.
"There have been nine witnesses who have been questioned, we plan to hold a case today," said Head of the West Aceh Police Criminal Investigation Unit, AKP Riski Adrian in Meulaboh, Aceh, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, September 13.
He explained that the immoral case against elementary school students was revealed after being reported by the Indonesian Justice Aid Foundation (YLBH)-KI.
Riski Adrian also explained that the witnesses who had been questioned were each victim witnesses, witnesses reported, expert witnesses, and a number of other parties.
The police have also received information from a psychiatrist regarding the alleged sexual violence against the elementary school student.
"If we finish the (case) today, then we can confirm the next legal steps. Whether the suspect is immediately identified or there are other legal steps, we will see," said Riski Adrian.
Previously, West Aceh YLBH-KI Chairman Rudi Reza Kusuma said the case of sexual harassment of an elementary school student was suspected to have occurred since the victim was still in fifth grade.
"YLBH-KI hopes that this case will not drag on considering that the victim is a minor. The alleged perpetrator is still around, causing concern for the victim and his family," said Rudi.
