Unable To Show Documents, The 15 Tons Of Pertalite Fuel Transport Ship Until Pertamax Was Secured By The East Seram Police
MALUKU - Police have secured 15 tons of fuel oil (BBM) which is suspected to be illegal in the waters of Kesui, East Seram Regency (SBT), Maluku.
The fuel type Pertalite and Pertamax to kerosene were secured from a ship called Elfa Jaya on Thursday, September 8, at around 11.00 WIT. "Securing a ship called Elfa Jaya, which carries Pertamax, Pertalite, and kerosene with a total of 15 tons," said Head of Subsidy for Public Relations of the SBT Police, Bripka Suwandi Soboh, via text message, Friday 9 September
Suwandi explained that the fuel was transported from SBT, Kesui, without the sale of fuel documents.
"And when it was found, 11 tons of dismantling of the two retailers had been carried out," he said.
Suwandi said the captain of the Elfa Jaya Ship, La Ramli (49) was also detained. The captain was arrested for questioning.
"This fuel carrier is suspected of violating Article 23 yo article 53 of Law No. 22 of the Republic of Indonesia, 2001 concerning oil and gas," he said.
Another evidence that was secured by the police was in the form of a ship's compass. Suwandi said the compass was confiscated to prevent things that were not desirable.
"We have also coordinated with the Criminal Investigation Unit for further action," he said.
