The DP Rp0 House Development Target Has Not Been Achieved, The DKI Provincial Government Asks For Private Hand Uluran

JAKARTA - Head of the DKI Jakarta Public Housing and Settlement Area Office Sarjoko said the DKI Provincial Government would ask for a private helping hand to participate in the construction of housing units in the Rp0 DP House program.

This is intended so that the target of DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan in building 10 thousand DP houses of Rp0 is achieved.

"With the private sector, we develop it to achieve the target of 10 thousand (units). We hope that the market will also take a role in providing this 0 rupiah down payment," Sarjoko told reporters, Friday, September 9.

The target of 10 thousand housing units of DP Rp0 is stated in the proposed amendment to the 2017-2022 DKI Regional Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMD) proposed by the DKI Provincial Government to the DKI DPRD.

"Our proposal in the RPJMD for the provision of DP 0 is approximately 10 thousand," said Sarjoko.

Meanwhile, in the initial RPJMD, it was recorded that the target for building houses without face fees or down payments (DP) was 250,000 during Anies' tenure as Governor of DKI.

Sarjoko then explained the reason for reducing the target for the construction of the Rp0 DP housing unit in the RPJMD. He said the COVID-19 pandemic had caused the economic condition of many parties, including property business actors.

"You know, we have a COVID disaster. All the economy is down, the property sector is down. Not only do we have DP 0 housing, all collectables," he said.

However, Sarjoko also admitted that the submission for the RPJMD amendment had not been approved by the DKI Jakarta DPRD until now.

"This is still in process. We have no final decision regarding the target (development of Rp0 DP in) the RPJMD," he added.

For information, yesterday Anies inaugurated the construction of 1,348 housing units of Rp0 in Cilangkap. There are two types of housing provided in the Rp0 DP House in Cilangkap, namely the two-room type with an area of 34.4 square meters and electricity of 1,300 VA. Then, studio-type housing with an area of 23.8 square meters and electricity of 1,300 VA.

In the studio type, the monthly installment fee is IDR 1.5 million with a tenor of 20 years. In the two-room type, the installments charged are IDR 1.65 million per month with a tenor of 20 years.

Meanwhile, the Rp0 DP House unit that had been built previously in three locations has reached 965 units, namely 780 units in Pondok Kelapa, 38 units in Bandar Kemayoran, and 149 units in Sentraland Cengkareng.
