Tom Hanks Expresses Reasons To Be A Geppetto In Pinocchio Film
JAKARTA - Tom Hanks is one of the main players in the film Pinocchio. This film is an adaptation of live action from a film produced by Walt Disney in 1940.
It was revealed that Tom Hanks was not asked but asked director Robert Zemeckis so he could join Pinocchio. He also told his journey to get the role.
I know a lot about Pinocchio because I've played Walt Disney in the film Saving Mr. Banks. So I already know and I'm ready (to play it)," Tom Hanks quoted ET Online as saying today, Thursday, September 8.
"So when I found out Bob (the other name Robert Zemeckis) was adapting, I called him and said 'PinoCCio'," he explained.
Tom Hanks immediately said he wanted to be the Geppetto in the film.
Then I said 'Geppetto' and he said 'Really?' That's it. To take part in everything, in the 'When You Wish Upon a Star?' said Tom Hanks.
It is known that the film directed by Zemeckis has a musical fantasy format so that viewers can see several singing scenes. In addition, the technology side makes Tom want to play a role in this phenomenal film.
