JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo responded to a demonstration plan to reject the adjustment to the price of fuel oil (BBM) which will be carried out by a number of parties. One of them is the labor element, in Jakarta on Tuesday, September 6."Yes, this is a democratic country," President Jokowi told reporters on the sidelines of his activities in Jakarta, Antrara, Monday, September 5.Jokowi asked the protesters to express their aspirations well. "Say it in good ways," he said.Separately, Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria also spoke about the same thing. He asked the masses who planned to protest against the adjustment of fuel prices to not carry out anarchic actions.Riza asked the masses to anticipate individuals or groups who took advantage of the momentum to ride the demonstration for certain purposes.Meanwhile, joint officers from the police, TNI, and DKI Provincial Government deployed 4,000 personnel to secure demonstrations in Jakarta, Tuesday, September 6, including the National Monument (Monas) area and the Indonesian House of Representatives, Jakarta."There are around 4,000 joint personnel," said Head of Operations Section of the Central Jakarta Metro Police Adjunct Senior Commissioner of Police Saufi Salamon at Monas, Central Jakarta, Monday.
