The South Korean Government's YouTube Channel Hacked, Showing Elon Musk's Video Bahas Crypto

JAKARTA - The South Korean government's YouTube channel was reportedly hacked and renamed SpaceX Invest. The channel then uploaded a fake video from Elon Musk discussing cryptocurrencies.

The Yonhap News Agency, on September 3, the South Korean government's YouTube channel was temporarily hacked and renamed for sharing live video broadcasts related to crypto. However, the account was immediately restored within four hours of proactive intervention.

In a YNA screenshot, the channel that was compromised was changed to SpaceX Invest and a video streaming that describes SpaceX CEO Elon Musk.

The ID and passwords for the compromised YouTube channel were identified as the root cause of the hack. Google also reportedly confirmed the hack.

To help KyberSwap recover from the recent hack that spent $665,000 on user funds, Binance conducted an internal investigation to track down the culprit.

Binance Changpeng CEO 'CZ' Zhao revealed that the Binance security team identified the two suspects and forwarded the information to KyberSwap and law enforcement.

Binance is now playing a role as an older brother in the crypto space. Binance has surpassed securing its platform to secure the entire crypto ecosystem, said a member of Crypto Twitter.
