Japan Open 2022: Eight Indonesian Representatives Will Fight Today
JAKARTA - The implementation of the Japan Open 2022 is entering its second day, Wednesday, August 31. A total of eight Indonesian representatives will fight for a place in the second half.
The Super 750 level championship will be held again at the Maruzen Arena, Osaka, Japan. The match starts at 10.00 local time.
From the men's singles number, the three Indonesian representatives who participated, will only play today. They are Anthony Sinisuka Ginting, Jonatan Christie, and Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo.
Chico will face the toughest challenge because he immediately met his second seed, Kento Momota. Meanwhile, Anthony and Jonathan got a relatively easy opponent.
Jonathan will face Dutch representative Mark Caljouw. Indonesia's representative won-loss 1-0 in their only previous meeting at the 2016 Bitburger Open.
Meanwhile, Anthony will face Thailand's representative Kunlavut Vitidsarn. On paper the two had a 2-2 draw in the previous four meetings.
Moving into the men's doubles, three Indonesian representatives also fought. They are Hendra Setiawan/Mohammad Ahsan, Leo Rolly Carnando/Daniel Marthin, and Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto.
The Daddies will meet Kang Min Hyuk/Seo Seung Jae (Korea), Leo/Daniel meet Japanese representatives Takuro Hoki/Yugo Kobayashi, and Fajar/Rian meet other Japanese representatives, Akira Koga/Taichi Saito.
