6 Passengers On An Unnamed Boat In Shipping Towards North Central Timor, 2 Times Damaged Machine
KUPANG - The joint SAR team from the Class A Kupang Search and Rescue Office, East Nusa Tenggara Province, is still looking for six passengers who are on an unnamed boat.This boat lost contact on a cruise to Wini Harbor, North Central Timor Regency (TTU)."It is true that there was an unnamed boat carrying six people who were reported missing contact while on the voyage from Bolok to Wini Harbor, North Central Timor Regency," said Head of the Kupang Class A Search and Rescue Office, I Putu Sudayana, Antara, Tuesday, August 30 evening.He said the boat that was reported missing had suffered damage to the steering wheel in the waters of Naiklius and Oepoli, Kupang Regency while on a voyage to Wini Harbor, North Insana District, TTU Regency on Sunday, August 28 evening.The ship carrying six people departed from Bolok Harbor on Friday, August 26 and suffered engine failure in the waters of Naikliu on Saturday.After repairing the boat, the boat continued its journey, but on Sunday the ship was damaged again and under the current so far has not been found.The six people who boarded the boat were residents of North Central Timor Regency, namely Philipus Tumbas (57), Nando Sakunab (20), Regi Eko (29) and Beny Bana (37), while Oni Kase (27) and Andi (54).The joint SAR team from the Kupang Class A Search and Rescue Office began conducting search operations for the six passengers since Monday (29/8) night using an Antareja KN consisting of 15 SAR members.The SAR operation carried out by the joint SAR team until Tuesday night still could not find six passengers who were reported missing in the waters of Nakiliu, Kupang Regency."The SAR team had conducted a search around the location of the boat and it was reported that it was missing, but the search results were still nil, so the search operation will continue tomorrow," said I Putu Sudayana.
