NasDem Wants To Meet With PDIP Again, PKS Claims Not To Be Jealous
JAKARTA - The Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) has no problem with the NasDem Party's plan to hold a follow-up meeting with the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP).
PKS also claimed not to be jealous of the 'warmth' between the Head of the NasDem and PDI-P DPP Chair Puan Maharani.
"Not jealous," said PKS DPP chairman Mardani Ali Sera to reporters, Thursday, August 25. Mardani emphasized that the political relationship between PKS and NasDem remained good after the Paloh and Puan meeting. According to him, communication between political parties is a natural and good thing to build cooperation.
"Political parties communicate well, can build bridges. PKS is happy with the existing developments," said the DPR member. As is known, PKS and NasDem have been said to be forming a coalition. In fact, both of them also seem friendly with the Democrats. These three political parties had met each other and explored each other to welcome the 2024 General Election. Mardani did not deny that the relationship between the three political parties was still very strong. However, PKS is currently focusing on the lawsuit for the presidential nomination threshold.
"The relationship with NasDem and Democrats has a strong foundation. The focus is now on building a coalition for the 20 percent requirement and continuing to fight in the Constitutional Court through JR," said Mardani.
Previously, Secretary General of the NasDem Party, Johnny G Plate, revealed that the second NasDem and PDIP meeting was a continuation of the Surya Paloh and Puan Maharani meeting at Nasdem Tower, Gondangdia, Central Jakarta, Monday, August 22.
"Meetings at the next level will be held, so that our common goal as a nationalist axis to later organize a government to realize the ideals of the state can be achieved. But once again, remember that our country is a large and pluralist country, so state management needs to be collective and collegial, " said Johnny at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Wednesday, August 24.
The Minister of Communication and Informatics said that the meeting with PDIP in addition to maintaining communication will also help maintain the spirit of the nationalist axis. "The NasDem axis is a nationalist axis, the PDIP is a nationalist axis, but in Indonesia there is a religious axis, we must talk together first. At the beginning of independence they spoke together across axes and now we have to maintain the same spirit, we must continue to develop intense communication so that In this era of extraordinary challenges, political stability is well maintained," said Johnny.
